For days last week Y was trying to get me to give him ideas for a mother’s day present. The closest I could get was a possible manicure. Maybe. In the end, what I got was a book I liked the look of from the church bookshop. Good because it was something I probably would’ve bought anyway.

But, the best thing was the present TB gave me (albeit under force – he wanted to keep it for himself) that evening. He made a plate with shiny sticky stars on while he was at nursery. It was so cute and definately a step up from his drawings. I think I might have to go and get him a sticker book so I can encourage this artwork.

As I was passing Blackwells (the book store), I noticed a display in the window: “The Big Gay Read”. No problems there. What got to me was the inclusion of Jeffrey Eugenidies’ “Middlesex”. It made me want to go into the store and ask what the hell that book was doing there?

For those of you who have read the book, you know what I mean. For those you who haven’t, I urge you to get hold of a copy as it is an amazing book.

Fix Car!!!

That’s the newest ready made phrase that TB has come up with… lol!

He broke another one of his car (actually it was my nice Chrismas Prezzie Mini Remote Car but hey… if TB say “TB’s” so it it TB’s… lol) and then he came to me saying “Daddy, Fix Car”. Lol… I have to give it to you… Vic might be right when she said that the boy is getting a lot smarter since he’s been staying with Daddy at home… And I am happy with that. Only not very when I can’t really work during the day cuz of it… but hey…

The fact is that he is really starting to formulate propper phrases and putt them to test.
