Wednesday I took TB out to get some shopping. I’d intended to let him choose a magazine but when we got to the shop it was already closed. Instead I ended up buying him one of these.
For Christmas he got a more basic version of this one – with the track and a train that you pull back to make go. Until recently he’s not shown much interest in it, but suddenly building train tracks has become one of his favourite things to do. When I saw that the track on this one fitted with the track on the one he already has, I had to get it. And he loves it (unfortunately for us he wants us to love it too – and I find watching a train go round and round for three solid hours a little tedious).
On Thursday evening we took TB swimming. He’s got one of these but it’s still scary how independent he’s being. He doesn’t care if we’re next to him anymore, and is quite happy to go swimming the length of the pool on his own. I’d bought him a pair of googgles earlier in the week and he loved wearing them until he decided they were too tight. I’ll admit they probably were – and have already loosened them for next time.
When we got back I was hanging his swimming shorts out to try whilst Y was getting the water warm enough for his shower. When I got back to the bathroom, TB was holding himself, peeing up against the side of the bath, like he was standing at the toilet. It was hilarious.
Yesterday we spent the day out in Wimbledon househunting (and yes, we did finally find something). He enjoyed his lunch at pizza hut, especially the ham and pineapple pizza, but turned his nose up at pepperoni.
Later in the day I got an ice cream from a very nice looking stall in the mall. When TB saw it he wanted some but didn’t want to eat it from the cone. So I got one of those little spoons and he insisted on scopping it from the cone. At one point he even pinched the cone from me, insisting “mine!” In the end we bought him a mini cone (mini really was the right word) but he didn’t really want that. Next time I’ll get an extra scoop on mine for TB.
Spoiling the boy a bit… well a lot…
TB absolutelly adores trains…
and the trip to Wimbledon, where we are trying to find a flat to move into, has been a nightmare for quite a while as the time we spend on the Tube is to long and he has the shortest attention span I’ve ever seen…
The solution was wuite simple actuelly… well… more expensive and all but simple.
We’ve decided to spoil the kid a bit and take the journey to wimbledon by train!!!
The T-boy is happy, and we get happy as well… everyone is a winner…
and it’s great to see him smilling and chatting away about the trains!!
so cute.
Other way we’ve been spoiling him to much is… as we’re always in a hurry to get to ths places we’ve not been having time to cook… so he’s been having what he likes more foodwise… fried chicken!!! lol…
I just hope we can find that house soon!!!
