Pay it Forward (Take 2)
I know I said I’d pick my three today, but I only got one response from you guys. Who knew that you’d be so averse to free stuff. So, instead of running away laughing that I can spend less money, I amazingly enough still want to give you guys things. I’m giving you until the end of the 23rd to say you want me to send you a lovely present that will hopefully arrive at the beginning of January to chase away those post-Christmas blues. Just leave a comment below saying you want in, nothing more complicated than that.

Here are the rules: The exchange focuses on doing an act of kindness without expecting anything in return other than that the recipient will, in their turn, pass the kindness along and pay it forward in their own way. This is how it works… I am going to agree to send something fun, inspiring or uplifting to the first 3 blog owners 3 people who post a comment on this entry (please leave your email address if I don’t all ready have it.). All to be done completely randomly of course. I did toy with the idea of letting the tradition of the three who could get in quickest continue, but where’s the fun in that when you’re asleep at the time this post goes up.
In turn you will then post about this on your blog, link to me, then send something to the first three people who sign up to play along through your blog. There are no cost restraints, but don’t go crazy! The little something you send can be something you made, bought, were given or found. No biggie, just a gift that will make the person smile. Maybe something unique fom where you live? And remember that kindness don’t have to involve money; there are untold ways to help others every single day, everywhere you go – just look around.

Oh I would so love to do this, but I dd one over a year ago and I am pretty sure I never sent my stuff. That’s what I get for saying I would make things, I should learn just to buy!

I haven’t got a blog so can’t do the links and stuff.
What a shame no one can/will play! Sounds like fun.
I did an experiment a yr or two ago where every day I did one random act of kindness for 14 days. Sometimes it was a stretch, but it was worth it – I should do that again!
Oh hell count me in! Is it OK if I send people one of my prints?

Hey there, you Superior Scribbler, you! First of all, I’m not “spamming” you; I promise! Second of all, I’d like to introduce myself: I’m Melissa B., The Scholastic Scribe, & I’m the “Original” Superior Scribbler! Third thing on my mind: I’ve been nominated for a pretty prestigious blog award; I’d greatly appreciate your vote, so if you click on over to my place, you’ll see the info. It’s an annual award from EduBlog, and I’m up for Best Individual Blog. And 4th thing on today’s agenda: I’ve got a cute “contest,” of sorts, going on at my place every Sunday. Please come by this Sunday for the Silly Sunday Sweepstakes. And, thanks for your support!

well i don’t know if this counts or not,, as in a way i am doing it as much for myself as i am for the animals involved,, but i have committed myself to take on four feral cats… i have an old cabin on the property that has gone unused since the last of my three cats had to be out to sleep a couple of months ago… it is situated on six wooded acres for them to play and hunt on… i will of course provide food water bedding and of course toys,,, so that kind of makes me happy……and i am thinking it ill make the cats happy too,,as well as the woman that is facing eviction (and the cats euthanization if someone doesn’t take the cats off the premises at the trailer park that she lives in…..
i think this is a wonderful project tho,,, and i am thinking maybe you ought to post on on the blog catalog discussions boards to really get a response…

A really great project, I find myself in the spirit of paying it forward all holiday season long.
ohmommy says I would take it down; but, the kitten likes to climb it.
