I failed.
Strangely enough, I feel ok about that. I managed to read 93 books at an average rate of one book every 3.92 days. I should have read at a rate of one book every 3.65 days. I wasn’t far off, but sometimes life gets in the way. Things like my own writing took over, and being ill doesn’t help you read.
So, in memory of all the books I read over the last year, the good and the bad, I give you my 93 books.
Crikey that looks like a great Gothic truck load of vampires.

You read 93 books in 1 year! Bloody hell! Well done! I read about 5 I think. Best was The Gargoyle.

The Gargoyle was absolutely stunning. There should be more books like that in the world!
That’s really impressive! I need to get back into reading, I’ve got three unfinished books on m y bedside table. You’re inspiring me!

I think you’ve got a good excuse at the moment, but three unfinished books? Never pick up a new one till the last is finished.
I’d not call reading 93 books a failure by any stretch.

Well as I said, I’m strangely ok with it.
If I’m in need of some ideas for reading material I’ll know where to come! Well done you. My train commute always was my reading time but now that’s gone for the moment I hope I make/have time to sit and read as it’s good for the soul!

I figure even if I have to rig up some strange book holding contraption, I can’t give up reading just because a baby needs all my time. Maybe I should introduce him to urban fantasy early on in his life?!

We’ll have to start swapping books….
I read a lot also, but I don’t think I read anywhere near your total. I tend to stick to fantasy novels, but out of your 93, I started 1 and didn’t get very far with that LOL. I started the Gargoyle, just couldn’t get into it.
so out of those, which would you recommend?
At the moment, I’m reading the third of the Genghis Khan books by Conn Iggulden. My hubby laughs at me when I tell him Genghis Khan meant well, he was misunderstood LOL

I really love the true blood series by Charlaine Harris and the Anita Blake ones by Laurell K Hamilton – both ones that hook you in. For something not in a series, the Birthing House by Christopher Ransom was quite good.
How was Pride and Prejudice and Zombies? Keep being tempted (am more a P&P than a zombie girl myself so the rest of your list scares me rather) but can’t decide if it really appeals…. how was it?

I found it quite hard to plough through, but probably more because I’m not used to reading things like P&P. Definitely worth a go though cos it was worth it in the end.
