Hair. What did you think I was going to say?
I coloured it again yesterday afternoon. The bottle’s been sitting on the bathroom cabinet for almost two weeks but I’ve not found the time to get around to it. The first attempt looked rather awful. The colour took really well to the roots, but not to the already coloured bits of hair (usually it’s the other way around) and it generally looked really patchy. I didn’t have time to do anything about it then, as I had to get out to my Portuguese class, but I grabbed another pack of dye on the way home and went over the ends again to even it out. Yeah, not my most succesful home dye experience.
It’s supposed to be light golden brown (the colour on the box seemed marginally darker than the boy’s) but I’m not really seeing any of the light, or the golden for that matter. I just can’t make up my mind about it, but think it’s probably too dark.

Maybe a photo taken in daylight would show the tones more. Looks like a good colour though

I’ve had my mirror out on the tube, in the bathrooms, at my desk, in the middle of the street. Still not seeing any light or golden. In fact, that photo looks rather amber to me.

Looks good! I always go a bit darker for the winter months myself.

You know, for years I tried ‘light golden brown’ on my hair – and every different store brand – and every time, it came out dark red on me.
I have given up on boxed colour!!

if it doesn’t grow on you maybe a few highlights, if they don’t go green on dyed hair of course?!!

It’s grown on me enough now that I’m not tempted to rush out and buy a different dye to cover it. Don’t think it’ll still be this dark in 6 weeks though – will probably grab a different brand and go slightly lighter. Well see.
