Alix at Marmite & Tea is doing the whole pay it forward thing. I couldn’t resist. I mean snail mail is so cute these days – all I ever seem to get is bank statements and takeaway menus. And of course, I too get to pay it forward, and make some of you guys very happy people.
Last night I received my gifts. They would’ve appeared on Saturday, but we were all out of the house and they came in an amazing stripy bubblewrap envelope that was just too big to fit through our pathetic letterbox. I was going to have them redirected to work so I wouldn’t have to wait until Monday evening to rip open that packet, but Mr Postie was just too lazy to write down a measly 13-digit number so I could sort everything online. Much to my disappointment, I had to get Y to pick the packet up from the post office and wait till I got home to open it. I was very surprised that by the time I got back neither he nor TB had decided it was Christmas come early and opened my present!
Completely knowing my heart, Alix sent me this book, which looks absolutely amazing. It’s on her ‘to read’ list and I can’t wait to read it either. She also sent me a rather lovely squishy penguin lollipop sweet – how quicker could she get to my heart than with books and sweets!

Here are the rules: The exchange focuses on doing an act of kindness without expecting anything in return other than that the recipient will, in their turn, pass the kindness along and pay it forward in their own way. This is how it works… I am going to agree to send something fun, inspiring or uplifting to the first 3 blog owners 3 people who post a comment on this entry (please leave your email address if I don’t all ready have it.). All to be done completely randomly of course. I did toy with the idea of letting the tradition of the three who could get in quickest continue, but where’s the fun in that when you’re asleep at the time this post goes up.
In turn you will then post about this on your blog, link to me, then send something to the first three people who sign up to play along through your blog. There are no cost restraints, but don’t go crazy! The little something you send can be something you made, bought, were given or found. No biggie, just a gift that will make the person smile. Maybe something unique fom where you live? And remember that kindness don’t have to involve money; there are untold ways to help others every single day, everywhere you go – just look around.”
So people, who wants, who’s spam? Yeah, spam doesn’t get a prize cos spam isn’t nice in the first place. Maybe I should send cans of spam… And maybe I should just stop rambling and let you start fighting over getting your comments in. I’ll be picking the three at some point on Friday.

Sounds like a very nice idea, I will be blogging this later
