A mega pic heavy post today, especially considering I’m only looking at one polish: Liquid Sky Lacquer Where’s My Lime. I’m on a major lime hit at the moment which is somewhat depressing as I’ve only got two in my stash that really fit the bill. Must rectify that immediately. I wanted this one from the moment I saw it, probably because it’s a gorgeous holo.
Despite my love of this polish I probably hate it in a near equal amount. When I swatched the polish I used three coats (and I don’t do thin coats). Now look at that hideous VNL! It’s not just a little bit – it’s glaringly obvious.
Also what is with those blue flecks in there? At first I thought they were undissolved pigments but some vigorous shaking didn’t get rid of them. When I first painted with the polish the flecks seemed to smear. I bought this one from Rainbow Connection and Anne kindly got in touch with the maker to see if this was normal. Apparently it is (although they’re described as green on the Liquid Sky Lacquer website and other swatches definitely show them as green and much smaller so maybe I got a different batch). I think I’d like the flecks a lot more if there were more of them. One or two on a nail just isn’t enough.
And for some bonus pics, I decided to mix it up with some Megamix and wore this baby for over two weeks. They were some freaking awesome nails!
