There’s something understated yet totally fabulous about these shoes; Ay Caramba! leather pumps from Charlotte Olympia (£342.00, Net-A-Porter). It’s the pattern on the platform and heel that does it for me.
I started out with OPI My Vampire Is Buff as my base colour and then used W7 Black to add the curved stripes and cuticle framing on the index and pinkie fingers. Working on the remaining nails, I used the same black polish to paint on the triangle bottoms, the diamonds and the stripes and dots. To fill in the diamonds I mixed Barry M Black with a hell of a lot of cheap topcoat to create my sheer polish. I’ve tried it using thinner before but it just makes a mess of your mani. Clear polish is definitely the way to go.
