By now you probably know that I’m a big fan of All That Jazz polishes, so when I heard they were releasing a new collection of Gelish matches, The Cocktail Collection, I was more than a little excited. The excitement definitely increased once I knew that the polishes would match some of my favourite Gelish colours.
All That Jazz The Cosmopolitan = Gelish Make You Blink Pink
All That Jazz The Margarita = Gelish Lime All The Time
All That Jazz The Mojito = Gelish Radiance Is My Middle Name
All That Jazz The Jack Rose = Gelish I’m Brighter Than You
I own all of the Gelish versions of the collection except Lime All The Time. Lime All The Time seems like the odd choice for this collection. The other three matches are taken from the All About The Glow collection whilst Lime All The Time comes from the Colors of Paradise collection. It would have made more sense to me to have matched up Sometimes A Girl’s Gotta Glow (which is a much more awesome lime green anyway).
But let’s get on to the swatches. I used three coats for each swatch. The first coat was incredibly thin but the second and third were slightly on the thick side. In terms of formula, these polishes were incredibly similar to using the All About The Glow collection. Ok, that’s not helpful if you haven’t tried them yourself. They’re strange beasts. Paint too thinly and they seem really watery. If you paint thickly they seem quite pigmented but go on quite patchy. That said, the polishes move really well and are easy to get into place.
