You can’t argue with cheap or free nail polish. Well, that’s what I think. I don’t mean cheap as in cheap and nasty either. I mean cheap is in would cost a small fortune per ml but has for some reason become a bargain. I’ve picked up brands like Nails Inc and Ciaté for mere pennies in the past.
Today’s nail polish bargain comes courtesy of Red magazine. It’s not a magazine that I’d usually buy as it’s too upmarket and designer for me, but I was swayed by the free gift: a Leighton Denny nail polish. Leighton Denny isn’t a brand I’d normally buy as I can never bring myself to spend over £10.00 on a single bottle of polish and they tip just past that at £11.00. I’d rather break budget on amazing polishes like Nfu-Oh than brands which only seem to do variations on core colours.
Anyway, if you can track down a copy of the mag with the free gift (they’re apparently very difficult to come by and most people suggest M&S or WH Smith railway stores (I got mine on the way home from work) there are three shades available: Crushed Grape (which I’ve photographed appallingly below), Whatever (a mauve creme) and Vamp (a gorgeously dark shade of red). Given a choice I probably would’ve gone for Vamp but the store only had Crushed Grape. Still, better that than Whatever which, if you know me in person, know is totally not my colour. I’ll be keeping an eye out in the hope that I can get Vamp for the bargainous price of £3.80 because when you’re spending that little it really would be rude not to.
